Resumen:

La literatura, la lingüística y la traducción conforman una serie de disciplinas que de un modo u otro acompañan al ser humano desde su nacimiento. Creamos cuando contamos el mundo, organizamos, estructuramos, jerarquizamos, trasladamos. Y en esas acciones verbales reside la capacidad de aprehender y expresar la realidad que nos rodea. La lengua —ese sistema abstracto y cultural compuesto por signos— tiene la poderosa capacidad de expresar ideas a través de unas estructuras mentales simbólicas. De este modo, puede decirse que se trata de una representación compartida por una comunidad de hablantes, así como de un conocimiento concreto. La lengua, como vehículo de comunicación primario, es un artefacto de aprehensión y difusión del conocimiento. Pensar la lengua es, es un segundo nivel, un acto de reflexión de dicho conocimiento que sume a la comunidad en un interés compartido por esclarecer los mecanicemos del saber y del pensamiento. En este libro se reúnen reflexiones sobre la lengua en torno a las disciplinas de la literatura, la lingüística y la traducción, espacios interconectados que plantean nuevos retos para su investigación, su cultura y su evolución, encuadradas dentro del pensamiento del ser humano.

Abstract:

Literature, linguistics and translation make up a series of disciplines that in one way or another accompany human beings from their birth. We create when we tell the world, we organize, structure, prioritize, transfer. And in these verbal actions lies the ability to apprehend and express the reality that surrounds us. Language—that abstract and cultural system composed of signs—has the powerful capacity to express ideas through symbolic mental structures. In this way, it can be said that it is a representation shared by a community of speakers, as well as concrete knowledge. Language, as a primary vehicle of communication, is an artifact of apprehension and dissemination of knowledge. Thinking about language is, it is a second level, an act of reflection on said knowledge that brings the community together in a shared interest in clarifying the mechanisms of knowledge and thought. This book brings together reflections on language around the disciplines of literature, linguistics and translation, interconnected spaces that pose new challenges for its research, its culture and its evolution, framed within the thought of human beings.
